It’s hard for me to rate this movie because I honestly have no relationship to the original Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers.
What I can say is that Andy Samberg can do no wrong, John Mulaney has a voice made for cartoons (although I prefer Spider-Pig), and I enjoyed seeing just how many animated references they could fit into a 1 hour 27 min movie.
It was a fun story, good for the kiddos but with enough adult references to keep parents entertained.
I am giving this movie five Claire Bears because it was fun enough while I was watching it and perfectly forgettable the second I turned it off. That’s All Folks! (Oops, wrong cartoon).
