Hello and welcome to Let Me Clarify*: a movie and pop culture blog!
Something that you should know about me right off the bat is that I only have one true, natural talent: POP CULTURE!
That’s right. You won’t find me boarding down the mountain, breaking 100 on a bowling league, or even knitting a damn blanket. But, my god, if I can’t tell you that both Rosalind Chao and Andrew McCarthy were both in Joy Luck Club AND an episode of Monk’s second season. Does this knowledge do me any good in the real world, aside from occasional conversation fodder? Not really. But I love it and it seems like I tend to collect people around me who love it too.
So what do I do with all of this useless knowledge? Create a blog of course! Is it a shameless excuse for me to also see more movies?
Yes.
The better question, do I give a damn?
Frankly my dear, no.
So, here we are and I only have two goals for this blog. The first, to help you make an informed decision about whether to spend your hard-earned money on the latest flick. The second, to start a conversation about one of the few things that still brings us together…
